Congratulations! You have a Disability!

Imagine.  It's such a huge shift in perception, I can hardly believe that would happen one day. However, once upon a time the birth of a girl was no celebration.  Having different skin-tone was no proud heritage.  Being from a certain country was no delight.  If anything, through time, hiding these stories was the great triumph.  She succeeded in spite of her girlhood.  He overcame the limitations of his race.  She transcended her culture's expectations. We have learned since those days.  We have learned to embrace the whole of our world (mostly :)).

What if we greeted news of disability with celebration?  Imagine the discoveries.  Imagine the changes in perspective.  Imagine the opportunities.  What an idea . . .
