Even with pet insurance, the vet bills from Chewie. Loki, and Thor became a few thousand in debt. Chewie lived three months with canine diabetes with daily shots, bi-weekly sugar checks (always high, never managed!) and supportive care the last few days of his life. I miss him dearly.
