Snow Day Last Day of February
The drought eased for one winter storm. Wind and rain for us but snow just up the highway! We had to see snow at least once this winter. Snow could still find us (we've had snowy Easters), but it seems remote as the blossoms welcome bright spring days.
We found out that Ian outgrew about all the snow gear in the house, but we got them both bundled up in oversized (or a little tight) gear. The storm cleared out in mighty cloud pile-ups as snow melted in soft thwumps off tree limbs.
Her hat is made by Resurrected Threads. We've waited all winter for a chance to use it!
Giovanni and I savored the view. While the kids threw snowballs over a cliff.
Snow for dinner? Yes please (always chosen from off the trail :))
I used this sledding hill when I was a kid. It's a haul, but so worth the effort! Anika carried both sleds, sweet girl.
Runaway sled!
Ice princess :)
Crashing is the best way to sled!
A beautiful day in the mountains! Apologies for the photos appearing a little jumbled, time-wise. They loaded out of sync and Ian hasn't been feeling well. He's begging me to play more Xbox.
Hope that you get a little adventure today!
