Ready to Bloom Again

Giving the blog a much-needed update has been a dream for a long time. I talked with friends and researched ideas. After all, Lenkaland doesn't follow the guidelines for traditional blogs. I am not a 'niche' blog. I share disparate stories, from disability advocacy to parenting, photography to crafting, family travels to events in my foothill community. I don't want to focus on one aspect of my life to the exclusion of the other areas.

So I researched all the options and finally chose Squarespace for our new home. Here, I can create a menu with quick access to all the posts within those topics. So a visitor curious about wedding venues in Nevada County won't need to wander through our family images of the Nevada County Fair. Even though getting married at the fair would be awesome! And those menus can share dynamic content that updates with each new post. No more placeholder pages that have a couple of sentences with a bunch of links to content. Modern advances in technology are awesome.

Hopefully most of the writing and images have migrated successfully to our new home. There may be broken links. Please let me know if I should restore any content that you find missing.

I am very excited to create and share again. Our adventures continue!
