Project 365: 2013
I did it! A year of photos! And I love the changes in weather, the changes in clothing. The smiles, through, the smiles are the same through the year. My children do look so little last January! How quickly a year passes.
In 2012, I got distracted around May and never caught up, so it feels good to get all of the way through 2013. I love seeing our time together in a collection.
If you are thinking about your own 365 project, I used the Photo 365: Everyday Photo Calendar for adding photos. Many of these images were taken with my iPhone 4S. A few with my Canon 50D.
My goal wasn't to have 365 wall-worthy photos, but rather to catch our journey as a family. Each photo by itself wasn't the important thing. All of them together is the important thing. And I know as time goes on (and it will go on), these simple moments will mean more and more.
I'm going to continue this year. Anyone else? And I am considering a weekly art photo. A 52 project, that collects a weekly photo that does catch light and images in a meaningful way. Too much? Maybe... but the challenge sounds fun.
Here's to adventures in 2014!
PS- I didn't catch every image on the correct days. I did miss a few days here and there that were good for a nature image or sleeping kitty. I liked that this app let me choose from other days if I didn't have a usable image from that exact day. It doesn't have to be perfect. And it all comes together perfectly :)
