Lake Tahoe Measured Risk Adventure

We don’t go to many places. However, as summer seems to lead towards a long fall and winter, we assessed our risks and choices. We felt that a trip to Lake Tahoe with social distancing wouldn’t be an unattainable adventure. These days are a tangle of decisions. Nothing really feels good.

So we assess the pros and cons and decide what can be done with the lowest risk for exposure. We are fortunate that we can bring food, drive a short while, be beside a mountain lake, and return home without needing to interact with restaurants or airplanes or enclosed spaces. These days are tough as cases climb in our area. I’ll write more about our journey through the pandemic. Today, I want to share a few photos that may inspire you wherever you are weathering these current challenges.

We watched the sunset. And I tried slow-shutter for a few images but it gets chilly fast and we needed to drive home again. A quest to continue another time.

We did a lot of research and took a lot of precautions. We appreciate everyone that we saw, from a distance, doing the same.

Wishing you the peace of wild places.
