10 on 10 for August

Summer has become an annual camping trip to the beautiful forest at Grover Hot Springs. The summer heat made the hot springs unnecessary, but the chill mountain stream with a perfect little waterfall solved that dilemma.

We packed and packed until the car was stuffed with everything necessary for an epic trip. Or so we thought. In the heat and the packing frenzy, the tent escaped my husband's attention. So we arrived to scope out a perfect tent site and ... uh oh.

Luckily it was a family trip and they welcomed us into their big tent.

So the kids got to explore and the dogs got to bark at jays trying to steal their food and the adults got to enjoy the outdoors :). Everyone got to enjoy the adventure!

Every month I am inspired to choose ten (or close to ten :) images as part of a circle of talented photographers. Visit Katie Brenkert  at for her beach vacation images by clicking here. Ah, how can I possibly add a beach vacation to the short weeks of summer?
