Yearly Plans and Core Values

Do you choose a word for the year?

The word focus coming together beside an orange typewriter

I often choose a word, then forget what word I chose around May. I’ve done play, intention, and (maybe) inspiration. This year, I am hoping for Focus. This works with different ideas. Focus on health, focus on projects, focus on stories and writing.

Colorful word, Focus, on a desk with a laptop, coffee, and donuts

We then discussed, as a group, our Mission Statement and Core Values. After a little while, we chose

Create a positive, supportive atmosphere for inspiration, productivity, and marketing of fiction and non-fiction

And our goal is to write. And enjoy snacks.

Focus. It’s a challenge across genres and works of writing. Speaking of, I use Firefly AI for graphics. And I know the controversies. I am disabled. And inspired, so it allows me to create graphics and images while recovering from a chronic illness flare.

The AI has a text feature, above. And a graphic creation feature, which is still figuring out letters sometimes (one below). Another turned out really pretty.

Ha, the part that I work on, though, is making all these versions. When I only really needed one. More focus :)

Our next quest is author biographies. Always good to revisit our About Me descriptions on different social media and websites. Working on these for next week.

Wishing you an inspiring and productive week!
