Touring the Inn Town Campground

Take the woods and create a space that invites people to experience the trees and stars. Build sites with power and hookups. More sites for tents. Then finish with canvas tents complete with decks overlooking the forest. Sounds like a dreamy quest. And a lot, a lot, of work.

That's exactly what's happening in Nevada City. The Inn Town Campground is this dream come true. The campground is so close to our charming little towns. Yet towering pines shade sites.

I walked the campground a few months ago. The transformation is amazing. And, even though I live all of five minutes away, I want to spend time in these tents. Glamping is my new dream vacation! And these tents will be the perfect family getaway!

Erin's family owns the campground. They're all working incredibly hard to make it amazing for this summer's opening. As it happened, we both wore similar shirts for the tour. We did not call each other and organize this!

Even dogs will be welcome in glamping tents 1-8. Great news! Our Lhasa Apso was very please to hear that.

The campground is taking reservations now. I predict this place is going to be very popular. I better get our family organized to reserve dates.

You can also tour the campground for yourself before it opens to the public. This is a great chance to see which sites and tents are your favorites. It's also fun to see the campground before people arrive to pitch tents. The campground will be open year-round starting on July 1, 2016.

Follow the Inn Town Campground on Facebook to hear the latest updates about events. The next tour will be June 9, 2016. Learn more here

Let's sleep under the stars this summer. Sounds dreamy. And dreams can come true :)
