Our Birches

I love love love our birch trees. We have two big ones in our front yard. Right now they are golden and green and they catch the light with magic-dancing leaves. My grandparents had birch trees in their yard so that might be part of my sentimental attachment to birches. Ours are lovely. Each breeze frees new leaves that flutter to the ground.

I spied a woodpecker through the window earlier in the day so I checked on the area where I saw him. Oh my! He's been busy.

I love the neat lines one next to the other. I don't think they are good for the tree, though, because bugs could burrow into them. But I don't really know... I need to research that.

Ian needs me to fight zombies on his game- time to go :)

I hope this weekend find you well!
