Jedi Photography

Some of our favorite adventures begin with a challenge. Could we create a lightsaber effect using our broken toy lightsaber? I mean, the blade was destroyed but we could use Photoshop to build new blades, couldn’t we?

In fact, we could make it any color we fancied. We drove up to one of our favorite local views. And then I challenged myself to use flash so we could capture the epic sky with our epic lightsaber plan. It was tricky and cold! But worth the effort :)

A few attempts later, I could create lightsaber blades in any color. Ian chose orange, which is an obvious choice if you know him. And the charred tree was a perfect backdrop!

Of course learning continues. And I keep refining the skills to make the lightsaber look more and more “real”. It’s fun to try new adventures!

Besides, with views like this, every adventure is an inspiration :)
