Hi there,
Just heard you on the TWIT podcast The Tech Guy as I was driving home in London, UK. Had to visit your site and what a fantastic job you have done. I am a disabled person and have been a wheelchair user since the age of 3. Would be great to get to know you and stay in touch. You never know when I may fly over there.
I hope to set up a similar site in the near future.
Best wishes,
Kam
Hello Kam,
We should set up a party here or there
- I’d love to visit the UK one day, too. Thanks for visiting the site. I look forward to getting to know you! Let me know how the site-building goes- I can’t wait to see it!
Best wishes, Lenka
Hi Lenka! I found your site via Leo Laporte, and have enjoyed each podcast since. I am Deaf and am really glad you take the time to write down your podcast as well as audio. Through Twitter, I found something of interest maybe on your discussion about accessible amusement parks:

Hi Dena!
Thanks for link! I saw an article about this park through the Disability News website and I was going to mention it- thanks for reminding me! It looks awesome and I love all the thought that went into creating the park. Thanks again for passing the link my way!
I’m glad the written notes help you! I tend to think well through writing, so the notes help me organize my thoughts. We’re a diverse world!
Best wishes, Lenka
Hi Lenka,
Thank you so much for telling your story! I was diagosed last year with CMT and am still learning to listen to my body and to accept my new found limitations. It’s been inspiring to read about your own struggles with the disease. But, more importanty, I have been touched by your efforts to raise awareness of CMT through your local support group and your podcasts. Thank you so much for giving those of us with CMT a voice!
I too would like the world to know more about CMT and hope to make a difference with this new found diagnosis. Please let me know how I can help!
Thanks,
Miss Pretty Shoes
Hello! I am so glad that you found me. I read a little of your blog and it sounds like an echo of my own challenges
. So nice to know we’re not alone
I’m going to add your blog to my link-list if you don’t mind. I would love to get CMT a little more attention around the world so at least we could take that struggle away, the one trying to explain it to everyone
Oh, and I discovered Jambu shoes this spring- light, cushy soles, and they work with my high arches. I am thrilled.
I look forward to getting to know you! Best wishes, Lenka

Thanks you so much for posting the link! I really appreciate it. I’ll be checking out the site, too.
Thanks for letting me know about the Yacht site. It looks awesome! A new adventure. I’ll send an email his way.
I am finding so many amazing people by doing this blog. It’s fun
Best wishes, Lenka
Hi Lenka,
Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you have done here! It was a happy accident that I found you.
When I came across your site, I was doing a google search for disability+ support community+ CMT in Sacramento. (But in my case, I meant Certified Massage Tharapist.) I have learned a lot from you about another meaning of CMT, but I have also felt inspired and touched by your words. I live with managing a spine condition and, like you, some days are better than others. We have a lot in common as we navigate through pain, uncertain limits, and ever-changing days. I really appreciate you putting your experience into words that can be difficult for some of us to find. Your efforts and positivity mean so much to me (and so many, I’m sure).
Thank you, Lenka!
Best Wishes,
Katie
Thank you, Katie! Your kind words mean a lot to me! We had a CMT support group in Sacramento for a little while, but it was hard to keep going. Tough when we’re all busy and tired
. Sorry to hear about your health challenges. I’m sending you good thoughts!
Take care! Lenka
Lenka,
Great blog!
Thank you for telling about your daughter’s journey with dyslexia. My third grader has a similar story and I understand the relief that can come with the diagnosis. I also am a teacher, currently homeschooling my daughter and a couple more students. I visited your classroom, which I loved, a couple months ago and will have a son in kindergarten at your school next year.
I wanted to pass on a resourceful book that helped me to better understand how my daughter’s brain works, with its unique challenges and powerful strengths, in case you have not heard about it yet: The Dyslexic Advantage, by Brock Eide, MD and Fernette Eide MD.
I appreciate all that you share, your story, your daughter’s, the art…
Many thanks,
Sarah
Thank you, Sarah! I look forward to getting to know you at school! I am a big supporter of homeschooling. Education needs to be flexible and responsive to kid’s needs. I am very open to the idea of homeschooling my girl if school gets too stressful or overwhelming. I will look into the book for sure- thank you!
Best wishes!
Lenka
